Conference Ministry Shares

Casco UMC is a part of the 590 United Methodist Churches (UMC) in the Michigan Conference of the UMC. Each local church contributes to ministry shares. Conference Ministry Shares are the funds needed to operate the conference and provide services to our local churches and their members.

Ministry Shares are divided between two large fund groups; Conference Ministry Shares represent approximately 72%, and General Church Apportionments the remaining 28%. These funds allow us to support local churches, be in mission and ministry globally, and develop new ways of bringing the Gospel to the world. Casco UMC
designated amount is $12,612 (2024 target amount) to Michigan Conference ministry shares and $1,081 (2024 target amount) to Greater Southwest District.
